How do I transfer an account to someone else?

Account transfers are done by hand so both parties can confirm the change.

Contact us with:

  • The current owner's name and account email
  • The new owner's name and email
  • Whether the new owner needs access to the projects, receipts and billing details, or both

We'll email both parties to confirm before making any changes.

The projects, data, settings, and billing stay intact. The new owner can sign in with their own email after the move.

Two things worth knowing:

  • After the transfer, the previous owner won't be able to sign in to that account. If both people need ongoing access, the Scale plan supports multiple users collaborating on the same project.
  • If the account uses Google sign-in, the new owner will sign in with the email link instead. The account is the same. Only the way in changes.

If an employee is leaving, start the transfer using the process above before their departure. If they've already left and access to the email is lost, contact us with the details above and we'll help recover it. For ongoing shared access across a team, the Scale plan is the cleaner long-term setup.
