Why is my analysis stuck?

If your analysis shows an error or seems stuck, it usually resolves on its own. When a run fails partway through, Competely automatically retries it in the background a few times over the next hour or so, so the first thing to try is to wait and reload the page.

A failed run never counts against your analysis run limit, so you won't lose anything by letting it retry.

If it still hasn't completed after about an hour, check your inputs:

  • Open your project and confirm your business and competitor URLs are correct and load in a normal browser. Sites that block automated access or have very little public content can stall a run.
  • Remove any competitor whose site won't load, then start a fresh run: open project Settings (the gear icon), and under Manual Analysis press Reanalyze.

If the analysis keeps failing after that, contact us with your project link and we'll look into it.
